The wrapping is nearly done, at least for what I have finished. I still have a handful of items I am sewing or crafting, etc. I’m a “work better under pressure” kind of girl. lol
David gave me a Cricut Expressions for Christmas AND he let me have it right now. Is that the greatest thing ever, or what? So, you won’t believe the fun things I have been making for gifts! I will post the pictures after the gifts have been opened so I don’t give away the surprises.
The kids have been sneaking around wrapping things and sticking them under the tree, too. It’s fun to watch them get excited about giving and being so careful about the choosing of each gift. With the grandbabies, the fun has expanded exponentially! I am guessing it must be an awesome thing to have aunts and an uncle so close to your age they can still “relate” to you and know what you would think is absolutely perfect! And the aunts and uncle are having as much fun getting the gifts and wrapping them as the babies will have receiving them.
Sitting under the tree, you probably noticed the newest addition to our family. Sadie came to live with us on December 5th. She’s about nine weeks old and fitting right into our boisterous household. She is a purebred black lab and a beautiful baby!
I love Christmas! Everything about it – decorating, food, family, giving gifts, all of it; but I wanted to add that the only really important gift is the reason we are celebrating this holiday to begin with. “For unto you, is born this day, in the City of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Can you believe that!!??? It still boggles my mind that Christ could love me and you so much He would become a mere baby–a human man– and then die for us. How undeservedly blessed we are! What an awesome thing to be able to celebrate that miraculous birth! What an amazing gift!
May each of you celebrate the warmth and love of family and the blessing of His amazing grace! Merry Christmas!
