My Quick & Easy, 6-Ingredient Smothered Pork Chop Supper is going to race to the top of your list of favorite quick and easy meals using Campbells Soup for Easy Cooking. Put everything in the crock-pot in the morning, then serve a flavor-rich, comfort food supper that evening. With only six ingredients your slow cooker will be baking in all the delicious flavors, in no time.
Start by rinsing the potatoes and cutting them into chunks. After you layer the potatoes in the bottom, add the layer of carrots, to the crock-pot – then the seasoned pork chops. Pour the creamy sauce over everything. Set the crock-pot on low and cook for 8-10 hours.
The pork chops will be fork-tender and the potaotes and carrots will be perfectly complemented by the herb and garlic flavor of the creamy sauce. You can serve the sauce just as it is, or thicken it a bit to make a gravy, like I did. This is strictly a matter of preference, because it’s delicious either way. My family likes gravy, and since the sauce thins down quite a bit in the steamy environment of the crock-pot, I wanted you to know how to thicken it, if you prefer.
To thicken it, transfer the sauce/cooking liquid to a medium pan (I had 4 cups.) and bring the sauce to a boil. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 Tablespoons of flour and 1/3 cup of water. Whisk the flour mixture into the boiling liquid. Reduce the heat and allow to simmer until the sauce is thickened and creamy. Serve with your pork chop supper.

- Wash and cut up potatoes. Layer them in the bottom of the crock-pot.

- Pour the cream and soup mixture over the pork chops.

So…what’s for dinner? Make it quick and easy with new Campbell’s Soups for Easy Cooking.
I always love a little green on the plate, so I added steamed broccoli to our meal. The beautiful thing is that I spent about 10 minutes prepping, this meal, and my crock-pot did the rest. In the last 10 minutes, I steamed the broccoli and thickened the sauce. So, essentially, my total “standing-in-the-kitchen cooking” time for this fabulous meal was only 20 minutes. Weeknight supper was never more complete or easy.
