National Can-It-Forward Day on Saturday, August 17 and a Give Away Surprise!

The Ball Corporation has announced the third annual National Can-It-Forward Day will be on Saturday, August 17th! In addition to their own canning experts, chef and cookbook author, Ted Allen, will star in the production, to share his favorite canning tips and recipes.  I’m a HUGE Ted Allen fan and my family will attest to the fact.  Before we got rid of cable, the major lament in our home was, “You only watch cooking shows!”  Ted Allen stars in Chopped, on The Food Network, and it was my absolute favorite.  So, it’s a slight understatement to say I’m excited for this event.

I’m also excited because I know if you were really being honest, so many of you are a little afraid of canning, fearing that you’ll mess it up or won’t be able to do it.  The National Can-It-Forward event is for you!  Learn from the experts, watch video, take notes, can along with the chefs while you watch in your own kitchen.  You can learn this.  You can do this.  You. can. can.  :)  Seriously, you need to tune in.  It’s going to be fantastic!

This year, they will be broadcasting from Union Square Greenmarket in New York City from 10 AM to 2 PM EST.
