..This is a big month in our house, since we have a granddaughter and a daughter with November birthdays, besides the usual Thanksgiving celebrations and excitement. I love fall and winter holidays, and I definitely do them up big, but in the midst of it, I want to be sure that those two important birthday’s don’t get brushed aside. Our granddaughter has an overflowing toybox and with Christmas, and all the play things it promises, just around the corner, I always use her November birthday to add a couple winter outfits to her “fashion princess” wardrobe. She turned five over the weekend and so, last week, I logged on to Cookies Kids to find warm — definitely pink — AND totally diva-worthy, adorable clothes — at prices that fit this Grandma’s pocketbook. You can check out my Google+ album to see the entire shop. It was a perfect online shopping “trip”, but if you live in the NYC area, you’ll find 7 brick and mortar Cookies Kids stores to help you find the best fashions for your kids.
I love how Cookies Kids online store is laid out and their detailed department directory at the top of each page, quickly navigates this “in-with-a-purpose, out-in-a-hurry” shopper to the exact spot I need to be. My first stop was Sizes 4-6X, and then I was off to Sizes 7-16.
The beautiful part about searches at Cookies Kids is that they can be refined even further, to show only the size I am looking for, so I don’t see something fantastic and then find out it doesn’t come in the size I need. Once I got to Girls 4-6x, I filtered specifically to Sets and then size 5. I had so many adorable choices to make my selection from and had no problem finding some great deals to fit my budget.
I also found her a ruffled pink hoodie sweatshirt with pink and purple printed pants that was only $14.99 for the two pieces. That’s one birthday gift done and one to go. I like the way this shopping trip is shaping up!
Shopping for our soon-to-be eleven-year-old is a little more delicate situation. After raising four girls, I already know that her sense of style is VERY personal and at this age, very much set. I’m pretty careful to watch what she picks for herself and try to keep within that range of choices when making selections for her on my own. I utilized the same fantastic search feature at Cookies Kids to take me straight to her size. I looked at sets, sweaters, dresses and hats, gloves & scarves to begin beefing up her winter wardrobe. I actually found so many cute things for her, that I placed an order for a couple things she can have right away and then, I made a second order that will be arriving in time for her birthday and Christmas!
In the order that arrived last week, I had two things for her. They were perfect for warming up her wardrobe and she was so excited about both, that she managed to find reasons to wear each of them on Sunday — one for Sunday School and church, the other for our church’s annual Thanksgiving Banquet. She looked beautiful and was so happy with her new clothes from CookiesKids.com. I can’t wait to surprise her with the next set of new things for her birthday!
CookiesKids.com is my first stop for any online shopping for kids’ clothes. The variety, quality and prices keep me coming back. I know whatever I purchase from them will be received with smiles like the ones above! With the holidays just around the corner, I have some great news for Busy-at-Home readers!
