We’ve talked about Angela’s Garden, before. I just love her products — especially how durable and effective they are when I’m in the garden. This spring I have an opportunity to share some new products with you and I am over-the-top excited about them. I know there are blogs out there who post about every product under the sun and tell you that they’re wonderful, no matter what. I hope we’ve been friends long enough, now, that you know that isn’t the way things work, here, at Busy-at-Home. I turn down reviews for three or four times the number of products that I actually do agree to test. Then, if I test them and find them wanting (and yes, I sometimes do) I won’t publish any information about that product. I want you to always have the confidence to know that if you see a post about it, on Busy-at-Home, it’s because I have tested it, I like it and I am STILL using it. This will be my second season using Angela’s Garden gear and I’m as happy, now as I was the first time I tested their products.
This year I have been testing, The Performance Glove, the Indigo Knee Pads and the Morning Glory Hat. The first noticeable quality of these products is how durable they are and that special care is given to fabric choices, stitching and design. The brim of the morning glory hat is wide enough to keep my nose from being sunburned, but also to protect my neck, even if I have my hair piled up inside the hat. I also like the easy-slide drawstring to keep the hat firmly in place on windy days or to let it slide down my back, without it falling to the ground. Row after row of stitching helps the brim to keep its shape and like all my favorite Angela’s Garden products, is washable. I have an extraordinarily large head and have trouble getting hats to fit. This hat didn’t fit all the way down on my head, but it was completely functional, even for me.
My husband put the most miles on the knee pads, as he was crawling around, tearing old carpeting from our deck and replacing it with new outdoor carpeting. He literally raved over them, when he got back inside, because his knees didn’t ache and hadn’t been scraped up in all the scuffing around. I had a hard time getting to keep them with my gardening things, instead of on his workbench in the shop. 🙂 The knee pads have thick, firm but cushy gel padding They are washable and with the easily adjustable Velcro fasteners, will fit all sizes. They’re available in Orange, Rose, Indigo or Willow and also waterproof, to keep moisture from the ground from seeping into your clothes. They really have thought of everything at Angela’s Garden!
My favorite, just like last year, are the comfortable, durable and effective Performance Gardening Gloves. Size large was a perfect fit for me. They are snug enough that I can easily grasp, pull and hold onto things while I’m working, but not so tight that they are uncomfortable to wear. They are heavy duty, well-constructed with reinforced stress-points. The Performance Gloves also have padded palms. The fabric is very breathable. I don’t feel like my hands are damp and sweaty inside the gloves. I also like the elastic fit at the wrist, to keep unwanted dirt (and critters) out of the glove. Performance gloves come in your choice of three color combinations. Best of all the gloves are handwashable and clean up like a dream! Check out my before and afters, below.
I hope you’ll visit Angela’s Garden to find your own high-quality, durable garden gear. I know you’ll love all she has to offer!
