Backpacks, gym bags, lunch bags, clothing, jackets and coats — if it can be left behind, or lost, it probably will be, at one time or another. I think I was caught off-guard, this year, at exactly how many different kinds of items our daughter would be taking back and forth to school in Junior High. She is our last student still at home and after 23-years as a homeschooling mom, it’s been an education for me, to make the switch and prep her to have all she needs for life in the local school system – gym shoes, volleyball shoes, volleyball uniform, volleyball knee pads, dance uniforms, etc., etc. You already know what I mean, if you have an active student in your own life. My goal is to help our daughter learn organizational skills that will help her to keep track of, and have a place for, all her things. The hope is to keep them neat and able to be found, at all times. Well, you know what they say about good intentions. 🙂 Sometimes, stuff happens. Since we have accumulated a significant financial investment in all the gear that keeps our almost thirteen-year-old going, I want to be sure that even if she does misplace it, it can easily be returned when it’s found. My new Epson LW-300 LabelWorks Iron-On Kit has made that so simple! I’m incedibly grateful to have received one in order to facilitate this review. I would have had one, long before now, if I had known such an amazing and simple-to-use gadget existed.
The Epson LW-300 LabelWorks Iron-On Kit is portable and easy to carry anywhere, in it’s own molded case. It comes with the label printer and two cartridges of iron-on label tape. The labels are durable and machine-washable, plus a reliable way to identify ownership of any fabric item that can handle the heat of an iron. The printer itself uses four AAA batteries for power. The simple instructions were written in an easy-to-understand format and I had it set up and printing labels in only a minute or two.
My granddaughters were here, the first day I tested it, and we immediately set out to print custom labels for each of them and, of course, for their little brother. It was fun that they could select a frame design and customize a label that was special just to them.
Beyond all the obvious uses marking clothes and school gear, I’m so excited to have this awesome tool, as Christmas approaches. I have so many fun gifts planned for the kids and grandkids and I am thrilled at the prospect of attaching personal labels to each lovingly created piece. As a matter of fact, our second grandson is expected, this month and now, I’ll be able to attach that “Created by Grandma, with Love for …” label to the quilt I’m making him! The Epson LW-300 is perfect for holiday gift giving and further personalizing all your beautiful creations.
The Epson LW-300 Label Maker creates beautiful labels with 14 fonts, 10 styles, 300+ built-in symbols, over 75 frames and more to use in personalizing and customizing each one. It has built-in memory that can store up to 30 labels and can print two rows of type on a single label. It’s amazingly quiet, barely humming as the label is printed and to top it off it requires very little ribbon lead (almost 60% less lead margin waste than other brands). It’s simple to use, creates beautiful, high-quality, customized labels for projects, gifts, school gear and more. It’s my newest favorite DIY tool for the holidays. I think you’ll love it, too! Pick one up online and let your whole family enjoy this handy, multi-use tool.
