My Easy Seasoning Salt recipe is one of my favorite creations since going sugar-free and grain-free. Seasonings and condiments have actually been the most difficult items to find, commercially. Most of them contain sugar (in one of it’s many forms), high fructose corn syrup, fillers, gums, anti-clumping agents and/or preservatives. Some even have MSG. I’m making my own mayo, mustard, ketchup and seasoning blends, now. It’s not nearly as big a deal as I expected. And this seasoning salt–yum! We love it on grilled chicken and on pork chops, no matter how I cook them. I use it in my turkey burger recipe, too. You’ll be amazed at how versatile and flavorful it is.
In my opinion, the flavor, and even the aroma, of this recipe are dead-ringers for Lawry’s seasoning salt. The difference is that mine doesn’t have any sugar, cornstarch, tricalcium phosphate, “natural flavoring” or food coloring. It’s grain-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan, Paleo and W30 compliant. Best of all, this recipe is EASY!
How to make Easy Homemade Seasoning Salt
- Stir all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
You know I save glass jars. The one for this seasoning blend originally contained ghee, purchased online. Glass jars make great storage containers for spices, herbs and seasoning blends. I can clearly see what’s inside and they help keep things fresh and flavorful. If you have some great jars, but are having trouble removing their original labels, check out my DIY post for removing label glue from glass jars.
I hope this recipe spices up your life, Friends! Have a wonderfully blessed weekend!
