I’ve made some great progress in my quest to redefine the front room of our house. I’ve removed all the stored packing boxes we’ve been saving and started to sort through the stacks of accumulated clutter. I delegated the installation of my beautiful Hunter ceiling fan to someone far more skilled than I and I have never been more determined to get rid of those lace drapey things that have been hanging over the windows, since we bought our house. 🙂 It was an exciting moment when I was able to snap this picture, especially after the embarassing mess I showed you in my last post about this room.
My Dad built the china hutch for me about two years ago and I love it. The only room it would fit in, though, was my “undefined space”. Until now, it has seemed so lonely and out of place there. Not any more! Now that this room will officially become the dining room, my beautiful hutch makes perfect sense, right where it stands.
And what do I need to say about that spectacular 54-inch Hunter Crown Park ceiling fan? Isn’t it fabulous!!??!! It pulled this room together, gave me a much more effective lighting system and added to the feeling of being in a homey, welcoming and comfortable space, while still feeling beautiful. It’s a real focal point in the room and I couldn’t be happier with how it “fits” the style and mood I want to create for our family dining room. The 54-inch Crown Park fan has five blades in a Roasted Cherry finish. As much care and detail are given to the motor housing and blade irons, as to the decoratively “carved” blades. The housing is finished in an antique-looking Tuscan Gold with beautiful cut-out patterns and designs. The light kit includes three antiqued ivory glass shades. I switched out the 60 watt incandescent bulbs that came in the kit for long-lasting LED bulbs and I’m thrilled about the years of service I know we will get from this gorgeous ceiling fan. We have always purchased Hunter Fans when we were updating our homes, because of the high-quality, limited lifetime warranty and the wide range of beautiful styles to choose from. My new Crown Park fan happily continues that tradition. As you redecorate and update rooms in your home, for the holidays, I can highly recommend Hunter Fans. Check them out on Facebook and Pinterest, too!
I have been blessed, probably more than the average woman should ever hope to be, with two of the most extraordinarily wonderful son-in-laws. Seriously, if I had hand-picked our older daughters’ husbands, these are the men I would have wanted to bring home for them. I love them both like they were my own and both have been so incredibly good to our family. This time, it was Jason who stepped up with lightning speed and taught our eighteen-year-old son how to install a ceiling fan. Jason has built his own successful Construction and Handyman business from the ground up and I couldn’t be more proud. I appreciate that he is so incredibly generous with his time and willing to help when we need something done around the house. Check out his business Facebook page and you’ll see the great work he does and why I am so proud of him. Jason told me that my new Hunter ceiling fan had the simplest and best system for installation and balancing of the blades, he has ever worked with. He was impressed with the quality and how easy the fan was to install, with clear directions and picture tutorials included with the kit.
I love the way my new dining room is shaping up and I can’t wait to show you the completed room, in time for the holidays! Stay tuned for furniture moving day and my homemade window covering tutorial. I hope you’re as excited for the big reveal as I am!
