Well, it’s official. It’s winter. We had our first heavy snow, this week, hand-in-hand with the first head colds and sore throats of the season. Dry furnace air and having the house closed up through cold winter months always seems to bring on all the uncomfortable symptoms of the common cold. I have my favorite over-the-counter treatment for tackling the annoying symptoms of a cold, but drowsiness or an out-and-out nap immediately follow taking that. Sometimes, putting life on hold and taking a nap just doesn’t work in the schedule of what needs to get done during a day — even if I’m not feeling well. That’s when I need something to soothe a sore throat and help with stuffiness, without making me want to curl up under a blanket to hibernate for several hours. For years, Sucrets has been an option that gets me through those kinds of days.
Sucrets brand throat lozenges have been around since 1931 and most of us would immediately recognize their familiar tin box. With a full line of throat care products designed to meet your cough and cold needs, Sucrets offers fast relief no matter what your symptoms! They have more varieties than I realized and something to offer relief whether you suffer from a serious sore throat, cough, runny nose or scratchy throat.
Sucrets® Classic lozenges (Original Wild Cherry) provide relief for those suffering from pain and irritation caused by a sore throat or sore mouth. Sucrets® Classic lozenges are available in Wild Cherry. The active ingredient is Dyclonine HCI, a sore throat/oral anesthetic.
Sucrets® Complete formula offers complete relief by suppressing cough, soothing sore throats and cooling nasal passages. Sucrets Complete lozenges go the extra mile in ensuring your total health and recovery by including Vitamin C and Zinc along with active ingredients. Sucrets Complete is available in two flavors: Vapor Cherry and Cool Citrus. The active ingredients in Sucrets Complete are Dyclonine Hydrochloride, an oral anesthetic/analgesic, and Menthol, a cough suppressant.
Sucrets® Herbal formula contains green tea and Vitamin C to provide a kinder, gentler solution to cough associated with a cold or inhaled irritants, as well as irritation and pain from a sore throat or sore mouth. Sucrets® Herbal lozenges are available in two flavors: Berry Pomegranate and Honey Lemon Ginseng. Active ingredients in Sucrets Herbal lozenges include Menthol, a cough suppressant, and Pectin, an oral demulcent.
My tin of Sucrets sits right on the end table beside the big chair where I like to write. They calm the irritation and soreness in my throat which helps me focus on the work at hand, rather than on the cold that’s plaguing me. One lucky Busy-at-Home reader will win three tins of Sucrets, to help alleviate the symptoms of their winter colds, too!
I received Sucrets lozenges in order to test them and conduct this review. No monetary compensation was received and a positive review was not required. As with all Busy-at-Home reviews, the views and opinions expressed are wholly my own.
