At midnight tonight, those are all going away and being replaced by the official Blogmania entry page, which can only be submitted one time on the 15th and one time on the 16th.

To inspire you to catch up on your bonuses and remind you how awesome our Busy at Home sponsors are, I want to share the pictures of the new Winter Song china from Lenox that arrived here, a couple of days ago. It is even more beautiful than the stock pictures I shared with you in my earlier Lenox review. The place setting includes a dinner plate, salad plate, mug and and a bowl. It will make a gorgeous Christmas table, but I also love the idea that this pattern translates to use all winter long with its lovely winter scenes. The branches, berries, greenery and pinecones twining around and across the pieces are perfect table complements throughout the whole season and you will fall in love with the hand-painted birds perched delicately on the salad plate. I know I have. You are going to get to see it many times, in pictures of delicious food, for my upcoming recipe posts!

Brianne, at Busy.B{Custom}Designs, made my day when she agreed to allow me to do a review and giveaway of her creative talent and expertise in designing custom blog themes. She is one of the excellent sponsors for our “Christmas at Home: A Celebration!” Blogmania Giveaway event which will be held September 15 & 16. Once we were into the process and Brianne and I both realized that I have a WordPress blog and she makes Blogger themes, she didn’t even bat an eye. She just rolled up her sleeves and created a custom background, header and button graphics that I can use in my blog, on letterhead and printed materials, in ads, etc.
I can’t even describe how great a relief it was to work with someone who was so professional, but also very “comfortable”. I didn’t feel pressured to make decisions and she explained what she needed, and why, so clearly, that the process was pretty much effortless on my part. Brianne was able to capture the essence of what Busy-at-Home is all about and how I want to represent it. She emailed me a questionnaire that took about 10 minutes to fill out, so she could get all the information and basics about my blog. She also asked me to think about websites I really love and why I love them, as well as websites I don’t care for and what about them I didn’t like. It really made me think about and recognize the theme elements I was looking for.
Brianne put together a header from the information I gave her, and after sending it to me and then getting a little more information, she came up with the beautiful header and background you see here. (Right-click your mouse, anywhere on the image, and select View Image, to see it full-size.) I was so excited when it arrived! I absolutely love it! She even left the center of the header open and customizable, so I can add photos of my grandkids, a picture of me in the kitchen or homeschooling with the kids, whatever fits my mood that day. It truly is personal and customized just to my needs.
As an added bonus, Brianne also created this cute blog button, that I can trade to put on other bloggers “blog-rolls”. She really did go “above and beyond”, especially when she found out I don’t even use Blogger software for my blog. She worked very quickly and professionally, yet I felt like I had all her attention and she was so open and receptive to hearing what I was looking for. I really enjoyed working with her and was very satisfied that someone I had never even met face-to-face, really “got me” and understood what I was looking for. I highly recommend Busy.B{Custom}Designs!
