I wanted these pictures to be as shiny and emeraldy (I know it's not a word) as the real pan. I need a photography intervention -- and I might have some vocabulary issues - maybe.
It’s a cake pan, it’s a unique personal statement, it’s the ultimate foodie gift and will definitely be the talk of your next church social! Sometime last year, I read a post over at Pioneer Woman, where Ree had received a custom-engraved cake pan. I remember thinking at the time what a nifty idea that was and just tucked the info into the recesses of my overcrowded, menopausal mind. We all know that can come to no good. So, of course, I totally forgot about it.
Well, as I started thinking about all the things we use in the kitchen over the Christmas season, The Cake Pan Lady and her bakeware came back to mind. So, I latched onto the thought before it had a chance to disappear on me again and I tracked her down, online. I learned that her name is Mary Alice and she personally hand-engraves every pan. And in the introductory, “let me introduce myself” emailing process, I “met” Mike, The Shipping Guy (or as he refers to himself, Mr. Cake Pan Lady). It’s been fun to get to visit back and forth a little bit and yesterday, the best part of all…the box came and it truly was like Christmas! I was dumbfounded and delighted when I opened the box, yesterday, and found my shiny, emerald green, personally engraved , Nordic Ware cake pan. (I think there may have been background music as I opened the box.) Is it politically correct to call bakeware beautiful? Someone, somewhere will have a problem with it, I suppose, but tonight, I’m throwing caution to the wind and just telling you straight — it’s gorgeous! I wish I was better at taking pictures because I can’t get it to show up as shiny/glossy as it is in real life.

I seriously ♥ this pan! The end.
I can’t even begin to imagine the skill and talent that goes into creating these fun pans. There are five available colors for the lids, Black, Blue, Green, Red, or Silver (Natural) and the pans are available in two sizes, 9x13x2 cake pan or 9x9x2 brownie pan. You can choose from two engraving styles, either Style A: From the Kitchen of (your name) or Style B: From (your name)’s Kitchen. And I know it’s late, so it’s completely possible I’m mistaken, but I’ve counted twice and I am fairly certain there are 62 engraving designs to choose from! And I believe I saw on The Cake Pan Lady’s Facebook page that two more designs are in the works!

Care Instructions
All the care instructions are included with the pan, so you know how to keep it looking its best. These will be wonderful Christmas gifts and you will definitely want one for your own kitchen. You have to pop over to The Cake Pan Lady’s site and see all the different designs. You won’t believe how easy it will be to perfectly personalize a pan for all the bakers on your Christmas list. Okay, here’s the good news and the bad news. Good news is the recipe is coming. Bad news is, not until tomorrow. I’m just plain tired. More good news is it’s yummy and it’s another one of the many Cheerios recipes you’ve all been requesting AND just a little more good news, if you can take it; I used my beautiful new pan from the Cake Pan Lady! Oh! Oh! Oh! There’s one more good news! The puppy is asleep and nothing belonging to the neighbors was eaten during the writing of this blog.
Love you guys! Talk to you tomorrow!
I received a custom-engraved 9×13 cake pan in order to complete this review. The views and opinions expressed are wholly my own and no payment was received to write the review.

I really like the bake a cake in silver. This is a great idea. I am always losing pans.
I like the classy simplicity of the Fleur de Lis design, or maybe the cute mixer!
