We have added a “little brother” to our Keurig Special Edition Brewer family. 
It’s no secret to any of you that we love our Keurig Special Edition brewer. When we first reviewed this wonderful machine, we were captivated by the simplicity, convenience and variety it added to serving hot or iced beverages, whether we are just relaxing at home or have a house full of people we are entertaining. You can read my full review of the Special Edition brewer, here, but today, I am excited to tell you all about Keurig’s Cafe One-Touch Milk Frother, the perfect accessory for the brewer, and how both machines can fit into your Homemade Holiday!
The Keurig Milk Frother has allowed us to take our favorite Keurig beverages to the “gourmet coffee shop” level and create yummy, gourmet coffee, chocolate and tea drinks without the high coffee shop prices. The frother is simple to use, easy to clean and turns our own skim milk into a creamy, frothy accompaniment to our favorite drinks. Just when I think I couldn’t be more excited about or pleased with Keurig as a company, I try a new product and my excitement over them and their products is reignited.
The milk frother truly is one-touch. Using skim milk, fill the frother to the fill line inside the pot. Insert the frother into the pot by snapping the lid into place. (Another great feature! – See that round wire spring-looking thingy? That’s what whips your skim milk into a fluffy frenzy, BUT it’s also easy to slide off the post and then you can just heat milk without frothing it. They thought of everything!)

One push of the button conveniently located on the front of the frother and the machine heats and foams your skim milk in a matter of seconds.
A green light glows on the button when the machine is heating and frothing.
When the light stops glowing, push the button on the frother handle to release the lid . Look at that delicious whipped milk ready to dress up your favorite beverage!

Once the milk has been added to your drink, just set the frother back on the base.

You can visit the Keurig website and click on the recipe books on the counter, at the center-left edge of the picture, to get some delicious recipe ideas from the coffee experts. But in the meantime, I wanted to share some of our family favorites.
I’m pretty sure that I have expressed, in a previous post, that one of my many personal favorite K-Cups is the Cafe Escapes Chai Latte. It is one of the most spicy, delicious treats just as a stand-alone beverage, but the addition of warm milk and/or froth takes it to a heavenly creaminess level, that will find you fighting the urge to make multiple mugsful (Did I invent another new word?) in one evening! I wanted to show you a beautiful cup of it, piled high with foam and dusted with nutmeg, but I am forced to admit I had the last one, yesterday, and will need to make a run to the store to be stocked up before the holidays. But no worries! I have several other creations to share. These are all “dressed up” versions of K-Cups we use on their own every single day. These dressed up versions are definitely holiday party worthy and will have your guests clambering for more.

Double Chocolate Hot Cocoa
- Cafe Express Milk Chocolate Cocoa K-Cup
- Chocolate Syrup
- skim milk
- cocoa powder (small amount to dust as decoration)
Pour skim milk into the Keurig Cafe One-Touch Milk Frother.
Brew the Milk Chocolate Cocoa with 6 or 8 oz of water while your milk is frothing.
In a separate mug, add 2 or 3 Tablespoons of chocolate syrup.
Top the chocolate syrup layer with a thick layer of milk foam from your frother.
Add a layer of frothed milk to the top of the chocolate syrup layer.
Slowly drizzle your brewed hot chocolate, in a thin stream, over the center of the milk foam and watch the magic happen! Your layers will switch as the chocolate takes on creaminess from the milk and the froth rises to the top. It’s beautiful!
See the beautiful layers that dress up this wonderful cool weather treat and make it something truly festive? Just wait until you taste it with the chocolate and creamy frothed milk stirred in! Yum!
Dust the top of the foam with a little cocoa powder and serve to impressed guests and grateful family!

French Vanilla Caramel Latte
- French Vanilla Coffee K-Cup
- Caramel Syrup
- sugar
- vanilla
- skim milk
- whipped cream, optional
Fill frother to fill line and heat and froth the milk.
While the milk is frothing, brew the French Vanilla Coffee K-Cup.
French Vanilla Coffee K-Cup loaded in the Special Edition brewer, ready to be brewed.
Once your coffee is brewed, stir in about 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, some warmed milk (there will be a small amount in the bottom of the frother, underneath all the foam) and sugar, to taste. David likes two teaspoons. Add 2 – 3 Tablespoons of caramel syrup, which will settle to the bottom of the mug for just a second. Then you will note a yummy caramel ring, rising and forming around the top of your mug.

Stir in the caramel. Spoon in a thick layer of milk froth and if desired, add a dollop of whipped cream. Drizzle a little extra caramel syrup over the top and you’ll rival any coffee shop brew!

With the addition of frothed milk and some holiday flavors, any hot chocolate, tea or coffee beverages can become something special and a delicious treat! Who could resist Gingerbread Hot Chocolate? It’s topped with warm and frothy skimmed milk, gingerbread marshmallows and a cinnamon stick garnish? Yum! And nothing could be simpler than topping hot chocolate with some frothy skim milk, crushed peppermint candy and a candy cane garnish.
What grandchild wouldn't be wide eyed with delight at the sight of Gingerbread Hot Chocolate or Peppermint Hot Chocolate?
I know some of you don’t drink coffee or sometimes you want something lighter and not so creamy. Keurig has lots of options for you. One of the most wonderful seasonal specialty beverages that has been released for our cool weather enjoyment is Hot Apple Cider K-Cups. We brew it with 8 oz of water and it is a wonderful, appley sweet treat that warms you through on a nippy winter evening or afternoon!

To dress it up for a holiday party you could add sliced citrus and cinnamon sticks for a pretty presentation.
An orange slice and cinnamon stick to spice up a delicious beverage for your holiday party.
All the coffees and teas you can make in the Keurig Special Edition Brewer, can also be brewed over ice. If you love iced coffee this is a perfect solution to save money over expensive coffee shop drinks. I’m an iced tea fan, any time of the year. I love Earl Gray tea, served hot, but my favorite K-Cup for Iced Tea is Celestial Seasoning’s English Breakfast Tea. It is the perfect brewed flavor, without being too weak or too strong. Another benefit is that I actually get two glasses of iced tea from an English Breakfast Tea K-Cup.

I love that I can provide a variety of beverages that fit a wide range of tastes when serving guests. You’ll never have to settle for reheated leftover coffee, again, when you can brew it fresh for each individual cup! I could continue to sing the praises of Keurig’s Special Edition Brewer, but this post has already gotten lengthy and I have some AMAZING news for you! I think I’d really like the Green Mountain Coffee® Nantucket Blend® Coffee K-Cup.
The thing that I would like the best about the Keurig Special Edition brewer would be that you can vary what flavor coffee you want instead of having to make a whole pot.
Wanda, you would be in good company! Nantucket Blend is my husband’s favorite coffee K-Cup. It’s his daily go-to cup.

I’d really love to try the Mudslide Coffee K-Cup. This flavor sounds delicious. What I would like most about have a Keurig is that I can choose my own type of coffee/tea/cocoa to enjoy and my husband could have his own selection. Even the kids would love it with the cocoa kcups. I went to Keurig’s website and I would love to taste the Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Hot Cocoa Packet K-Cup! Owning a Keurig Special Edition Brewer would be a dream come true because they are great for serving people the drink they want in a short amount of time! It would be great for entertaining! Everyone could have what they want! Also, the clean-up is minimal which is AWESOME! I would LOVE one!

I’d love to try the Green Mountain Coffee® Dark Magic® Extra Bold Coffee K-Cups.
The reason I want a single-cup coffee brewer like this one is because I’m the only one in my family who drinks coffee. I make a pot of coffee (in an old drip coffee maker that no longer makes or keeps the coffee hot enough for me). I can’t drink the whole pot by myself, so I re-heat the leftover coffee (which some people think is icky) the next day. This Keurig would be perfect for me. Thanks for the giveaway.

Gloria Jean’s Butter Toffee Coffee K-Cup sounds yummy! What I love about the Keurig, besides all the delicious varieties available, is that you can make just one cup at a time, and not have to make a whole pot the traditional way, which is wasteful if you don’t drink it all.

I would like to try the Mango Tea K-Cup. I would like this brewer because I drink a lot of tea and I hate waiting on the kettle to boil and I don’t care for tea made in the microwave. I also like the idea of having a wide variety of flavors of tea, coffee and even options like cider and cocoa.

I would like Donut Shop the best. Having a Keurig means that I can always have a fresh cup of coffee at a moment’s notice, and even have different types of coffee without wasting a pot (or having my coffee go stale if I don’t drink a flavored coffee for awhile).

Green Mountain Mocha Nut Fudge. It would be great to own something that I could make coffee from quickly. With getting kids and a husband out the door, sometimes I forget to make a pot of coffee in my old pot.
I would the love Gloria Jean’s Halzenut Coffee. I love the Keurig. It is such a great idea. As I single person I don’t need a whole pot of coffee, I always feel like I am wasting money with a regular coffee maker.

Wow, SO many flavors….if I had to pick one to try, um….Swiss Chocolate Almond sounds good. I have wanted a Keurig machine for about three years and haven’t the money to purchase one. I seldom make coffee cuz I only like one, maybe two, cup(s) of coffee. This is why I would LOVE LOVE my own Keurig, plus I can make different flavors or just plain old coffee with the filter! I know lots of people with these machines, and I am SO jealous cuz every one of them loves their machine!

I would like to try the Kona Blend Extra Bold, and what I think I’d like best about it is feeling fancy in my own house. You know, stumbling in to your kitchen in jammas and whipping up a fancy coffee with frothed milk, etc. I have also “like”d Keurig and Busy-at-home on FB, and my FB name is Jamie Heaney Johnson.
I’m a big fan of Caribou Coffee, so I’d predict that my favorite k-cup flavor would be the Caribou Mahogany Blend. And what I think I’d love most about having a Keurig is the fact that I can make a perfectly brewed cup of coffee (something I just can’t grasp the art of!) and make a single cup at a time (because I’m the only coffee drinker in the house, I inevitably end up wasting a good bit each day).

We’ve had a Keurig for two years and we love it.
Usually stick to coffee, but would like to try the
tea and cider.
The Raspberry Chocolate Truffle sounds heavenly…..I’d LUV to try it! While I really love, love, love coffee and tea–I’d like my dad to have it so he can enjoy a single cup of coffee every day…..this is one of our favorite “treats” when I get to go home to visit (a trip to the coffee shop to enjoy a great cup of coffee). He doesn’t get around as much as he used to, the younger he gets and all, so I really believe he would love and appreciate having the Keurig system. Thanks for this giveway!

I would really like to own a Keurig. This would be ideal since I am a single parent with a daughter away at college. I rarely make coffee at home just for me. I am sure that I’d like the hazelnut but there are quite a few others that I would like to try. Thanks for this opportunity.
Keurig is great because you can make so many different drinks and be able to please all of your guests. I heard the Green Mountain Hot Cocoa is tasty.
I would like to try the Newman’s Own Extra Bold blend. the thing I like most about Keurig coffee maker is I drink decaf due to high blood pressure and my son-in-law prefers regular so we both could have coffee in the mornings

I’m not to willing to try new things in the AM – don’t mess with my coffee! I’ve had the French Vanilla at a friend’s house and I know that would be my first choice if I win. There are only two of us here in the morning, so I know the Keurig would be a very practical item.

I think I would love to try the Chocolate Glazed Donut flavor the most because being a dance major at school I can’t eat many donuts but I sure would love to taste the flavor of a chocolate glazed one again!
The best thing if I was to win the Keurig would be to have coffee again in the morning! Living in a house of 6 there is no room for a big espresso machine so this Keurig would be the perfect size for me!

My husband just loves the Keurig brand. Whenever the ad comes on TV he just wishes we had one at home.
Today I would like Green Mountain Naturals™ Hot Apple Cider K-Cup , and tomorrow I’d like to try Chai.
This is a great machine for a small family like ours which has varying tastes. A whole pot of coffee would go to waste around here.
Would like to try the sleepytime herbal tea. Like that I can have something different with each cup I want, variety.

I think I’d love the English Breakfast Tea. My family includes those who prefer coffee, those who like hot cider, hot chocolate fans, and (like me) those who choose hot tea…a brewer like this would make it easy to please everyone!
I know that using this for the dark hot chocolate s a luxuary but what the heck! I can just taste it!
I think I would like the Butter Toffee the most. But I would like to try the Wild Mountain Blueberry. That sounds interesting. I am the only one in my family of 7 who drinks coffee. So this brewer would make my life easier instead of having to add water, measure coffee, brew 2 cups of coffee and clean the pot each day for only myself.
I’d love to try the Gevalia Caramel Latte Macchiato. I know I would love it because I could make so many different flavors & varities all at home.
