We had the best, most extraordinarily awesome fun evening, on Friday!  The food and friends obviously had a lot to do with it, but Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension put the icing on the proverbial party “cake”.  We had a blast; and the movie was typical Phineas and Ferb funny.  You know what I love best about the show AND this movie?  It’s wholesome family entertainment that erases generational boundaries.  Parents love it as much as their kids!

Across the 2nd Dimension was the very first Phineas and Ferb MOVIE, ever.  Our family members, and especially our nine-year-old daughter, are long-time fans.  If you haven’t ever tuned in to see the step-brother duo and their pet platypus, Perry (who is secretly an undercover agent), you’re missing tons of good clean fun.  You can find all three involved in creating unbelievable inventions, secretly solving crime and unwittingly flustering their teenage sister.  You’ll be able to catch episodes of this hilarious cartoon, several times a day, on the Disney Channel and if you missed their movie debut, you have a second chance to see Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension again this Saturday, August 13th on Disney XD at 10:00 AM ET/PT.

Friday was an excellent opportunity to share our love of this fun cartoon with friends who are also die-hard fans!  Disney helped to make the pre- and after-party exciting and fun-filled with some excellent party favors for all the kids, too.  They were incredibly generous and the kids were thrilled!  I was disappointed that the dim lighting in our “theater” caused my pictures to be less than sharp, but I managed to salvage three that weren’t quite as fuzzy; and luckily, we got a little bit of video, too.

It's hard to read our sign, but it says,"Welcome to the Embree Family Cinema". We decorated with movie film reels and a clap board and then added our concession table with popcorn, boxes of movie candy and ice-cold flavored waters. Yum!

Once the movie started, our "theater" guests were intent on the story.

This was such a fun night, we’ve determined that we will have to have many more “movie nights” with friends.  Thanks, Disney, for an excellent adventure with Phineas and Ferb!
