There are no words to adequately express the horror of taking pictures of my own feet, knowing they will be shared with all of you. While they are my least favorite feature, chipped nail polish and all, I love these sandals and all of you enough to "suck it up" and expose my size ten super-wides. Probably not the best angle to really show these off, but there was no one else around to snap a good picture for me. Don't you love the buckles? Too cute!

We’ve all had the experience of having to “break in” a new pair of shoes.  Especially when it comes to “flip-flop” style sandals.  Too much walking in a new pair can cause blisters, pain and frustration.  I fell in love with LAMO’s Garden Party Sandal, a very trendy and cute “flip flop” the minute I saw them in their online store.  I knew they were going to be a perfect complement to my new Fiji Beachcomber Dress.  I just hoped the sandals were going to be comfortable, because I’m anxious to be able to take both them, and the new dress, along on my trip to New York, this summer.  I made my selection and waited with great anticipation for them to arrive.  While I waited, I took a little more time to learn about LAMO and their products.

LAMO is a Los Angeles based company.  They use premium quality Australian sheepskins and Australian Merino wool, exclusively.  Merino wool is one of the highest quality wools available, being dense and soft to the touch.  It’s known for being great at regulating body heat when worn next to the skin, providing warmth without overheating the wearer.  It helps to wick moisture away from the skin and allows the user to avoid feeling damp, so it is not uncommon to find it used in high-end athletic wear.  This quality Merino wool is what is used in all LAMO footwear, even my new sandals!

Cute, cute, cute! If you look closely at the sandal at the top of the picture, you will just be able to glimpse the soft, plushy Merino lining on the underside of the leather upper. Comfort!

The minute I pulled them from the box, I knew these sandals would be go-to summer footwear.  The leather straps sport a cute buckle embellishment and are attached to a triangular, leather upper, accented with an overlay of linen.  The attention to detail is phenomenal and makes these shoes so fun to wear.  But, the real selling feature is the C.O.M.F.O.R.T.  Seriously, I’ve never had a new shoe experience quite like it.  I tend to be barefoot as much as humanly possible — just sayin’.  When I walk in the door from being somewhere, my first action is to kick off my shoes.  I don’t have that impulse, when I’m wearing the Garden Party Sandals.  They have great arch support in the comfy, sueded microfiber footbed and the underside of the leather upper is lined with soft, plushy, breathable Merino.  I’ve worn these shoes shopping, to church, around the house and just about any place you can name.  I have never had a sore spot or even a place where they have rubbed.  Like I said, I’ve never had that experience with a new shoe, before, and CERTAINLY not with flip flops.  I couldn’t be more pleased and I’m confident they will be a great choice for my summer trip.  They look as great with a sundress as they do with shorts or a pair of jeans.  That’s a fashion score! in my world.
