If you’ve entered our Cheerios & $25 American Express Gift Card Giveaway you know why I have been experimenting with Cheerios in recipes, lately. Cheerios! They’re not just for breakfast anymore. - lol They also come in every flavor and color in the rainbow. Seriously, there’s a LOT of them. Who knew? So, I’ve been re-educating myself on everything Cheerio and today, I’m going to share another recipe. The original recipe is here. What I ACTUALLY did is what follows.
You didn’t really think I would follow a recipe straight through did you? It’s still yummy! You’re gonna love how easy it is AND you get to look at my fabulous new Cake Pan Lady cake pan, again!

In microwave safe bowl, melt the butter.
Add marshmallows and toss lightly to coat with melted butter.
Put back in microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 15 seconds, until marshmallows can be stirred smooth.
Add the pecans and Cheerios. Mix well.

Press into prepared pan. Cool. Cut. Enjoy!

Chewy, gooey, banana-pecan goodness!
These snack bars are very reminiscent of a more familiar marshmallow treat, however I believe they seem sweeter because of the banana flavor of the cereal. Yes, the Banana Nut Cheerios actually DO taste like banana. Bananas – pecans – snack – How can you go wrong? This recipe is so simple and easy to whip up in a flash. Add it to your arsenal of “quick fix” snack/dessert recipes.

I think bananas are the tastiest fruit. It always helps satisfy my sweet tooth and quench my throat…I guess cause they have just enough sugar and a lot of water in them.
