Just when you thought you weren’t crafty enough to make a gift a child would love, Romp begs to differ. You won’t believe what I just read about at the Pioneer Woman’s blog! (You really must click over there and see the wonderful books that were made!) I flipped when I saw these Blank Board Books! What a fantastically simple and frugal idea! The 5-inch books are only $3.50 each and the possibilities are limitless. I have loved board books for our kids and grandkids and the idea of filling them with something personal really gets my creative juices going! You can make counting books, phonics and ABC books, animal books, books about the child, about your family, about grandparents, God Made Me Special books, nature books, car books, lions and tigers and bears, oh my! The possibilities simply boggle the mind. What does the child love the most? Make that the theme of your book! Give these blank and watch an older child’s imagination spring into action as they create their own literary masterpiece. I love, love, love this idea. Hope you’re having a marvelous Tuesday! I’m off to order Blank Board Books for my homemade holiday!
