I can’t believe Thursday is the first day of school for our kids! It’s time to trade the bikes and swimsuits for backpacks and homework. and as every busy mom knows, those back packs will have to be filled with all kinds of tools and supplies to get our children started on another year of learning. 🙂 Filler paper and notebooks, erasers, pens and pencils, binders and folders in every color are all standard supplies. Some other standards are products from Crayola. There are certainly other brands hanging next to them in the school supply section, and yet, I find I always gravitate to Crayola products, year after year. I grew up on the brand and it’s as much a part of back-to-school for me as new sneakers and notebooks. This time of year, it’s easy to find great deals on Crayola products, even though my shopping options are so limited, in our small community. I wasn’t disappointed, this year, when our youngest daughter and I hit the local Walmart for back-to-school shopping. We found a ton of creative Crayola products that had her excited to get home and pack her backpack, not to mention a few items to keep around the house for more creative fun.
Before we set off on our shopping journey, I had taken a moment to print this $1.00 coupon for Crayola Dry-Erase products. That was a good call, because one of the first things our 11-year-old’s eyes landed on was this cool Dry Erase Board and there were plenty of dry erase marker options, too!
Markers and colored pencils are always on the back-to-school shopping list, too. We learned that Crayola’s washable markers are the world’s most washable and that the classic markers and colored pencils are preferred by most teachers. Another cool fact we discovered was that Crayola colored pencils are made with reforested wood.
And everyone knows it wouldn’t be back-to-school without that familiar box of Crayola Crayons. We opted for the box of 64 with sharpener and it will likely be kept at home for the grandkids, because our daughter spied some cool, twist-up crayons, that will be easy to store in a pencil bag, won’t break as easily as regular crayons and she loved the available colors.
In our small hometown, Walmart is pretty much our one-stop shopping option, but you should definitely check your local ads for great deals on Crayola products. You won’t believe all the bargains you can find. Plus, you’ll find $10 in Crayola coupons on specially marked packages of Nestle’s Nesquik and you can save $5 and get free shipping in the Crayola.com store, using coupon code 5OFFBTS. Be sure to like the Crayola Facebook page to keep up with new products, what’s coming up for the holidays and any special offers or coupons they may post.
